Sharael Kolberg - Jeff Kolberg

With a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Hawaii, Sharael combines her interest in family travel with her passion for writing. She began writing for Suite 101 in 2004 as the "Adventure Sports" Feature Writer.

Her work has been published in numerous magazines, newspapers and Web sites, including Sunset magazine, Outside Magazine, Working Woman magazine, Laguna Beach magazine, Newport Beach magazine, the San Francisco Independent, ZDNet.com, CitySearch.com, Away.com, GORP.com, About.com, Wired News, CNet.com, TheSmartly.com and HauteOC.com. Sharael's enthusiam for travel has taken her to Coasta Rice, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Fiji, Mexico, and several U.S. destinations, including all of the Hawaiian Islands.

For 15 years Sharael called the San Francisco Bay Area home. The past year, while living in Silicon Valley, her family decided to disconnect from their technology addictions and reconnect with each other.
